Add LotsNotes to your AI agent

LotsNotes is a remote MCP server. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and other agents, and they read your business context before they work and keep your notes current. Give your agent the setup instructions, copy the MCP URL, or choose your agent below.

LotsNotes is a remote MCP server over streamable HTTP. Clients that support OAuth discover sign-in on their own from the URL above. Clients that only accept a header can use an API key from the LotsTech API page, sent as Authorization: Bearer <key>. The same tools are available as REST endpoints; read the API docs.

Get your agent connected: questions

How do I get my AI agent to use LotsNotes?

Give your agent https://lotsnotes.com/skill.md and ask it to help connect LotsNotes for you. It explains how to add the MCP server or use the REST API in your environment. Prefer to do it yourself? Copy the MCP URL https://api.lotsnotes.com/mcp and follow your agent’s guide.

Does LotsNotes work with my agent?

Agents with remote streamable HTTP MCP support can use https://api.lotsnotes.com/mcp. Agents with HTTP or computer access can use the REST API with an API key. There are guides for ChatGPT, OpenAI dots, Claude, Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Grok Bot, Grok Build, DeepSeek, Kimi K3, Muse, Manus, Cue, Perplexity Computer, nanoclaw, Paperclip. Some clients need a particular plan or administrator permission, and a listing is not a guarantee that every version or plan supports connections.

Do I need to install a skill or configure MCP myself?

The setup instructions are a Markdown document you can give your agent by URL. They do not automatically install a connector or authorize access. Ask your agent to guide you through the steps for its environment, or add the remote MCP server yourself.

How do I sign in to LotsNotes from my agent?

OAuth-capable MCP clients open a LotsNotes sign-in during setup. Clients that use bearer credentials and REST integrations need an API key from https://www.lotstech.com/api. Never paste your passwords into a chat.

What does LotsNotes cost?

Current plans and prices are on https://lotsnotes.com/pricing. Your agent’s own plan or usage fees are separate.

Can my agent read my private notes?

No. Private notes stay on lotsnotes.com and are never returned through MCP or the API. Shared notes follow your workspace roles.

Can my agent change or delete my notes?

Your agent can edit shared notes in the folders your role can edit, and it can trash or archive notes, delete a folder or, for a workspace you own, archive it. Notes and folders can be restored, a workspace you archive can be restored for 30 days, and every save keeps a version you can restore.

What stops two agents overwriting each other?

An agent can send the version it last read with a save. If the note changed since, the save is refused, and the agent reads it again and merges. Version history keeps every save either way.

Which folders can my agent see?

Your agent acts as you, with your role, so it sees only the workspaces and folders you can access. If you were given access to selected folders only, your agent sees those folders and no others.
